Loqate wins Computing's Development Team of the Year 2018

When we were nominated for Design Team of the Year and Development Team of the Year, several months ago, we were pleased to have been acknowledged for all the hard work our team have put in - especially considering the strong calibre of the other nominees. But winning the Computing's Development Team of the Year at Wednesday night’s Digital Technology Leaders’ award ceremony was the delicious glace cherry on the cake.

Development Team of the Year

The decision to award Loqate’s Development team was down to continued dedication and innovation on our revolutionary address verification tool. Our data service is used by over 13,000 companies globally, including ASOS, HSBC, IBM, Ticketmaster, Hello Fresh and Nordstrom.

But what made us stand out? Well, unlike traditional address capture solutions where the user searches for their address by typing in a postcode at the point of checkout, our tool allows users to type in the first line of their address and the software provides addresses matching that first line to choose from. Similar to predictive typing in search engines, the application predicts what you are searching for and changes accordingly as you continue to type. The tool works seamlessly in the background, helping businesses manage successful contact data strategies, making customer, contact and lead relationships far more effective.

This tool also incorporates Fuzzy matching algorithms, and complex international capabilities so the end user can find and validate international addresses even if misspelled words or accidental typos are entered.

Computing's Digital Technology Leaders Award Ceremony

Both our Design and Development teams deserve huge praise for the amazing work they have produced over the past year, continuously innovating and leading the way - ensuring we can stand by our claim of being the world's most trusted data specialist in location intelligence. As many of you know, Loqate has recently expanded, incorporating even more excellent development capabilities and talent from around the world, and we are excited to see what the future brings.
