Graze.com was founded in 2008 by seven entrepreneurs who shared a passion for food – and a desire to enjoy it at work. A great example of a thriving UK internet business, the company is well aware of the power of online address auto-fill – both to make the sign-up process for customers faster and more successful, and to help ensure packages arrive where they’re supposed to.
The driver for setting up Graze was to introduce decent snack food at work to combat the 3pm slump. Ed Read, together with fellow Co-Founder Graham Bosher, who had experience of online subscription services (he also set up LoveFilm), set about establishing a business that sent good, healthy and tasty food through the post direct to workers.
The biggest business need was to increase the number of people that convert through the Graze online sign-up process. For that, they partnered with Loqate, and described it as 'a bit of a no-brainer'. "Not only do you help us increase our conversion rate, because our form’s are quicker to complete with type-ahead technology – but, due to the accuracy of the address data, we a higher success rate in first time deliveries. This is especially important seeing as we have a policy of sending replacement packages out if anything loses its way".
Graze had already heard of Loqate through Graham, who’d used the service before, describing the address verification solution from Loqate as 'the de facto choice for address look-up, second to none'.
Better addresses have helped Graze.com grow. The business is now ten years old, set up from Graham’s flat. Now a leading global ecommerce business, with a growing US presence, Graze.com now deliver over 100,000 letterbox-sized boxes of food a week.
As we’ve grown globally, our address look-up service from Loqate has scaled with us, and we haven’t had to worry about it.
"The Loqate service is seamless, it’s easy to customise, and using the sample code it took a few seconds to be up and running. Once it was set up, all we’ve had to do is sit back and let you guys get on with it. There’s never a real need to get in touch – and when we do call in, it’s a pleasure. Being able to talk to a real person makes a big difference".
We’ve been approached by competitors, but we aren’t comfortable moving providers. When fast, accurate addresses are a fundamental part of your business model, you want to be 100% sure the service isn’t going to fail you. Loqate gives us that security.
