Loqate launches new Slack community

A space to connect, share and innovate, with Loqate technology at the core.
Loqate's developer relations initiative is designed to foster closer connections with developers who use their technology. The launch of the new Loqate Slack workspace provides a first step towards building a community for developers to collaborate with one another, and with Loqate experts.
[UK, January 17, 2025] – Loqate, a GBG solution, today announced the launch of a new Slack workspace as part of an initiative to build a global community of developers using Loqate technologies. This community space will enable Loqate users to collaborate with other developers easier than ever before, while allowing Loqate to gather vital information and feedback about the technologies being utilised across the user base. This will provide a better understanding of how Loqate technology is used, and how it can be improved, contributing to decision-making for future development efforts.
What is the Loqate developer community all about?
This new Slack workspace is a safe place where developers can share ideas with fellow users and the Loqate development teams, to get quick community help, discuss potential improvements, and follow the latest news from Loqate about new products and features. This initiative is part of Loqate’s broader commitment to strengthening relationships with developers, making it easier for developers to get started and explore all the different features that Loqate technologies offer. Additional efforts include sponsoring and speaking at developer community events across the UK, USA and Asia, and creating more developer-related technical content.
Please note that this workplace does not replace the existing support channels. Loqate's support team remain on hand to assist with service enquiries.
Jamie Coleman, Senior Developer Advocate at Loqate, on why Slack was the right choice:
"Slack is a great tool for collaboration, and most developers will be familiar with it or use it in some way. Many developer communities already use Slack, so this was a no-brainer when it came to picking a tool for Loqate’s new developer community."
How to join
Existing Loqate customers should have already received email invitations to join the new Slack workspace – alternatively requests to join can be made via the link provided here. Once joined, the main channels in the Slack community are #general, #roadmap, #events and #docs, along with individual channels for each of our technologies such as #address-capture and #address-verification. Discussion topics can involve anything regarding Loqate and related technologies, frameworks and languages (for example questions related to Angular, or data processing).
